Arrive in Hanoi, meet at the airport then transfer to hotel (Airport-Hotel : 35 km). Check-in time : 14h00.

Morning depart Hanoi for Mai Chau (Hoa Binh province). Upon arrival at Lac village, which is home to the Thai people, have lunch in a traditional house on stilts with a Thai family. Then drive to Xa Linh village, from here start a 3 days/2 nights trekking tour: walk along the gravel tracks and small paths to Hang Kia village, home of the H’mong Minority people. Dinner and stay overnight in the traditional house of H’mong family.

Today you are going to truly get off the beaten track when trekking through the tropical rain forest and passing through several White Thai villages. Picnic lunch will be provided at Cay Nam village by the afternoon. Continue trekking to Ban Buoc village of the Thai. Have dinner and stay overnight as guests of the Thai family in a traditional house on stilts.

Morning: trekking to Mai Hich village. Bus pick-up and transfer back to Lac village.
After lunch, depart from Mai Chau to Hai Phong – the biggest port city in Northern Vietnam. On arrival, check-in hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Morning, start with a city tour of Hai Phong. Visit Du Hang Pagoda and Hang Kenh Communal House before transfer to dock for departing to Cat Ba Island by hydrofoil. Bus pick-up at Gia Luan pier and transfer to hotel for check-in.
Rest of the day is at your leisure, either exploring the town or relaxing at Cat Co beach.

Full day visit Cat Ba National park: bus ride along the coast to reach Cat Ba National Park. Visit Kim giao forest, Knight peak, then have long trek across the dense jungle and Frog lake to reach the peaceful fisherman village of Viet Hai. Picnic lunch.
Afternoon: bus pick-up from Viet Hai village and transfer back to your hotel.

Morning leave Cat Ba Island for Halong city by cruising boat. The cruising gives you the chance to discover the most beautiful scenery of World Heritage Halong Bay. Fresh seafood lunch will be served after visiting some of the limestone caves in the area.
PM: drive back to Hanoi, visit Dong Trieu ceramic village en route. On arrival, check-in hotel and relax.
